New Jersey Rockets Take Pee Wee Minor Silver Stick Regional Title; Bantam Minors Finish As Runners Up2009-10-26

Ashburn, VA- In a dominant performance that establishes them as one of the top Pee Wee Minor teams in the Nation, the New Jersey Rockets have won the Eastern Regional of Silver Stick. The Rockets 2-1 win over Mid Fairfield was impressive, but it was the way they dominated the preliminary round by outscoring their opponents 27-2 that set the tone. In a heartbreak final game, the Bantam Minor team lost to Mid Fairfield 2-1 in a shootout after beating the same team in the preliminary round. The Bantam Minors had a very good tournament and played a great game in the finals. Both of these teams will have a busy November as they will attend the Bauer International Invite and then it is off to Whitby, Ontario for the International Silver Sticks Championship.
